Our Premier Company is structured into three distinct teams: Trailblazers, Premiers, and Spotlights. Each team offers unique opportunities tailored to different levels of commitment and experience, fostering growth in both technique and performance. We are devoted to nurturing each dancer’s potential, providing pathways that align with their aspirations and commitment levels. Our structured teams are designed to cultivate technical proficiency, performance excellence, and personal growth, ensuring every dancer thrives in their journey with us.
Who They Are: The Trailblazers are a select group of passionate dancers chosen through auditions or teacher recommendations. This team comprises individuals of all ages and experiences who are eager to delve into competitive dance in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
Commitment and Opportunities:
- Competitions: Participate in 3 regional competitions annually.
- Classes and Rehearsals: Attend weekday dance classes and choreography sessions.
- Weekend Involvement: Minimal weekend commitments, allowing for a balanced schedule.
- Performances: Take part in Holiday and Gala Shows, showcasing their talents to the community.
Ideal For: Dancers ready to challenge themselves, enhance their technical skills, and explore their creativity in a low-stress, team-oriented setting.
How to Join: Interested dancers should consult their current instructors to discuss the possibility of becoming a Trailblazer. Auditions are required to assess readiness and fit for the team.
Who They Are: The Premiers represent our largest competitive dance company, consisting of dancers selected through auditions to embody Premier Academy at both local and national talent competitions, conventions, and select community performances.
Commitment and Opportunities:
- Competitions and Conventions: Engage in multiple local and national competitions and conventions throughout the year.
- Training: Participate in comprehensive weekday classes across various dance styles to refine technique and performance quality.
- Rehearsals: Attend scheduled weekend rehearsals to prepare for upcoming events.
- Performances: Contribute to Holiday and Gala Shows, enriching their stage experience.
Ideal For: Dancers of all ages seeking to elevate their skills, embrace challenges, and immerse themselves in a dynamic and enthusiastic dance community.
How to Join: Prospective members must undergo an audition process to demonstrate their technical abilities and commitment to the team’s objectives.
Who They Are: The Spotlights constitute Premier’s elite performing company, featuring dancers who exhibit exceptional technique, performance artistry, and style. This team is dedicated to representing Premier at both regional and national competitions, as well as community events and performances.
Commitment and Opportunities:
- Priority Commitment: Members prioritize the company over other extracurricular activities, reflecting their dedication.
- Comprehensive Participation: Mandatory involvement in 4 regional competitions, 1 convention, and 1 national competition annually.
- Intensive Training: Engage in weekday classes across multiple dance disciplines and attend weekend rehearsals to maintain peak performance levels.
- Pre-Competition Preparation: Required attendance at all practices during the week leading up to competitions to ensure readiness.
- Performances: Active participation in Holiday and Gala Shows, contributing to the company’s public presence.
- Summer Intensive and Audition: Attend a summer intensive program and undergo auditions to secure placement within the team.
Ideal For: Dancers committed to fully dedicating themselves to their craft, striving for excellence, and ready to meet the high expectations associated with elite performance standards.
How to Join: Membership is contingent upon successful completion of an additional intensive and audition process. Eligibility is exclusive to current members of our Connections, Inspirations, and Headliner teams; this opportunity is not available to Bitty and Mini team members.
