Darby’s Dancers at Premier Academy
Premier Academy is proud to be an official Darby’s Dancers studio, offering dance education to children with special needs at no cost to their families. Darby’s Dancers is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in memory of Darby Jones of Huntsville, Alabama. The program brings the joy of dance to children of all abilities in an inclusive, supportive, and truly magical environment.
Our Darby’s Dancers meet once a week to learn a variety of dance styles in classes that focus on fun, confidence, and connection. Dancers gain coordination, strength, self-esteem, and lifelong friendships—all while being celebrated for exactly who they are.
Classes are led by volunteer instructors in donated studio space and supported by a team of dedicated teen volunteers. These youth mentors provide one-on-one assistance during class, building meaningful bonds and learning invaluable lessons in compassion, leadership, and service.
We are honored to support this incredible program and witness the joy, growth, and community it brings. Through the generous support of volunteers and local partners, Darby’s Dancers provides classes, supplies, and costumes to dancers with special needs—all free of charge.
At Premier Academy, we believe every child deserves the chance to shine on stage—and Darby’s Dancers helps make that possible.
